SonoLady > May 5
After watering our tomato plant tonight I decided that would have to be my potd. One thing I would love to learn is the water droplet macro technique where you actually get a clear image inside the droplet.... still working on that !!
** I am almost ready to clean my sensor for the first time...I have Pec Pads, Sensor Swabs and Eclipse E2 solution sitting here staring at me... (Canon 20D)... if anyone has any last words of advice I am listening!!**
thanks for all the nice comments on my Shakespeare book... I really didn't expect that! Hope you have a good one.
SonoLady > May 10 - Happy Mother's Day!!
I wish every mother out there a wonderful day!!Tonight I am going to get to have my mum over for dinner, we are making one of her favorite meals...steelhead trout grilled on a plank!! I am thankful everyday for her and am so blessed that I have her love!! I only wish my mother-in-law Julie was still with us. She was an amazing lady who taught me so much and I didn't have near enough time with her!!
My two babies that are home with me forced me to make them my potd while they were having a little love fest this morning!!
Hope you have a wonderful day!!!
SonoLady > May 17th - I CLEANED MY SENSOR AND I AM SOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY I DID!!!
la la la! This is straight out of the camera RAW and NO visible dust (to my eye anyway) ;-D
To see my filthy sensor before click here http://www.smugmug.com/gallery/7462713_z74Cb/1/538990002_EHLnw
and see the before and after sky shots as well as what I used to clean it with.
I really need to go enjoy a glass of wine now... I might need to catch up on the dailies tomorrow because I think I held my breath for about 5 minutes while doing the surgery on my sensor!! cheers!!
SonoLady > Aug 24
This photo wasn't taken today... it wasn't even taken in Texas, but it could really be from anywhere. After getting another round of antibiotics today... to try and beat this unrelenting sinus infection... maybe I should take heed and do the same as the photo says.
hope that you and yours are well today... I am not complaining only explaining! LoL, I know it could be so much worse. Hope you have a good one~ Lynn
I only added one layer to this in PSE and now I can't even remember what I did.
SonoLady > Nov 16 - Powerful Sunset ~ :D a few weeks ago I had a powerful sunrise potd... I just couldn't resist this one..it was taken in a totally different location. I just liked the lines... thought of my friend Joda!
Tonight it is going to drop down to the 40's here in H town! That is COLD for us here!!! We are having some spicy green chili tonight to celebrate this cold front!
Hope you had a good Monday!
SonoLady > Aug 11- Haven't even pulled the big camera out of the bag today...just relaxing with no schedule for a few days!

June 22
Went to visit my Mum tonight, had my camera and still didn't have a POTD, then I spied her watercolor brushes just begging to have their picture taken... of course I took quite a few shots... but the last one was the keeper... and guess who composed it (not me)?! The artist herself!! Thanks Mum!
SonoLady > “Into each life some rain must fall, some days must be dark and dreary.”

Today was a bit dreary... took this shot while driving this afternoon...the clouds looked so looming... I did level it a bit and clone out a phone line at the bottom... I think it looks a little HDRish.
Now on the brighter side the only thing I have planned tonight is to catch up on all these great daily photos!
SonoLady > May 19 - Plumeria
I didn't have much in my mind that I wanted to shoot today... This plumeria plant I have had for a few years... it has not bloomed yet but I keep hoping. I sat on the ground and shot up at the blue sky all the while being poked in the back by a Sago Palm frawn, ouch! I thought of using my polarizing filter then I realized I don't have one for my macro lens :-( So a little vibrance added in the RAW converted had to do.
Thanks for putting up with my sensor-y overload the past two posts... for those of you that expressed interest I used the Sensor Swab & Eclipse E2 cleaning solutions from Photographic Solutions... I ordered it through Amazon and just watched a few utube videos on how to do it before taking the plunge.
Now I am really full from eating a great chicken pad thai dinner. The weather is gorgeous here today so even though my allergies are on the edge we ate outside to enjoy the weather... very soon it will just be too hot to do that here.
Hope you have a great night.
